For Young people

Sunday

11.10am –12 noon      Sunday School

Children leave the main Morning Service to have their own activities. These include Bible Stories and songs, craft and group work. See  our Coronavirus update and contacts for booking a place in church

Tuesday  - Restarts Tuesday 14 September - please note new times

5.00pm—8.45pm        Boys and Girls Brigades 

The Brigades are part of global Christian movements with a great history and visions for this generation and the future. The aim of the Girls and Boys Brigades is to help young people become followers of the Lord Jesus Christ and through planned activities to be responsible members of society.  The Girls Brigade motto is ‘Seek, Serve and Follow Christ’ and the Boys ‘Sure and Steadfast’.

5pm—6.15pm        Anchors, Explorers and Junior Girls    Years 1-6

6.30pm—7.45pm        Junior Boys     Years 4-6

6.30pm—7.30pm        Senior Girls      Years 7+

              7.30pm—8.45pm        Company Section Boys, Senior Boys    Year 7+

Wednesday

10.00am—11.30am     Toddler Group 

Open to all who have pre-school age children to look after—mums or dads, grandparents, etc. The group meets in our schoolroom (during term time only) and gives a great opportunity to meet other parents or carers in a fun, friendly and safe environment. Toys, activities and refreshments are provided for both you and your child.  For more information contact 01245-362088.

Coronavirus

We are delighted that our Toddler Group will be restarting on day Tuesday 15 September at the usual times above. Some restrictions may be necessary in order to keep everyone safe and we would ask you to observe the following:

- please use the sanitiser provided

- bring your child a drink in their own cup for their individual use ( we will provide coffee/tea and biscuits as usual) (please advise us of any dietary intolerances)

-please ensure you observe a degree of social distancing where possible

-we will be running during term time only as usual

-to attend the group is completely free. Donations are welcomed towards refreshments

Note – We take the responsibility to protect the children and young people in our care very seriously. All those involved with our youth and children’s work have been subject to DBS checks.

 

For Men and Women

Thursday evenings as announced, separate Men’s and Ladies Groups

Activities include Ten Pin bowling, Pitch and Putt, pamper nights (ladies!), art and craft and many others.

Friday

10am -12noon ‘The Spring’ - Restarts Friday 10 September

An informal café style coffee morning. Come and go as you please. If you want to chat, you can always find a willing listener!

Alternate Wednesdays and Thursdays - Also Monday mornings (currently not being held)

7.45pm—9pm             Bible studies 

The Wednesday study takes please at the church and we learn from various books of the Bible sometimes using a DVD introduction and set questions which are discussed together - Recommences Wed 22 September

On alternate Thursdays we meet in various homes as announced for a different kind of study, this time on Bible topics again using workbooks and questions - Recommences Thur 16 September

1st Saturday of the month

8.30am—9.30am         Prayer Breakfast

People, places and situations, local, national or international, are mentioned for prayer and then brought to God.  A simple breakfast follows the prayer time. A great way to start a new month! All welcome.
